Routine Cleaning
For healed piercings, remove jewelry only when it is safe for your piercing to do so. Clean jewelry with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly, and dry with a clean soft cloth. Follow your piercer’s aftercare instructions for healing piercings.
What to Avoid
- Bleach, chlorine, harsh household cleaners, and abrasive powders.
- Alcohol or peroxide as routine jewelry-care products unless specifically directed by an appropriate professional.
- Toothpaste, rough polishing compounds, or abrasive cloths on plated, coated, or delicate pieces.
- Pulling, twisting, or forcing threaded or threadless ends.
Storage
Store clean, completely dry jewelry separately in a soft pouch, divided case, or clean container. Separating pieces helps reduce scratching, tangling, and lost ends.
Opals, Gemstones & Decorative Ends
Treat decorative stones gently. Avoid prolonged chemical exposure, ultrasonic cleaning unless the material is confirmed compatible, and impacts that can loosen settings. Synthetic and natural opals can have different care requirements, so follow the product-specific material information.
Tarnish & Finish Changes
Solid titanium does not tarnish like sterling silver, but surface residue can dull its appearance. Gold alloys and plated finishes can change appearance depending on chemistry, wear, and exposure. Normal finish wear is different from a manufacturing defect.
